Emily originally booked a maternity mini session with me, but since I had a couple of new backdrops in my studio that I wanted to try out and she was willing to let me experiment with her photos, we ended up getting quite a few extra photos for her.
The first few were actually my “in case of rain” backup plan, but I really was grateful that even though we had good weather the day of her session, she was still game to let me play around with some new ideas. I really love my new recycled barnwood backdrop!
I love this new dress that I chose for Emily in for these photos below! It did not look very pretty on the hanger, but she was sweet enough to trust my vision and go along with what I had pictured!
This particular rose pink gown is my favorite and one of my most popular maternity requests (it’s my favorite since it’s the one I specifically ordered for my own maternity photos!). I was a bit tense when we went to this spot for her photos since a lot of the trees in the area had started falling from all of the rain we’ve been having lately. I’m a bit nervous about doing too many sessions at this spot in the future, so we will be working on creating a similar area in our own garden soon, in the empty space I have waiting to be put to some kind of good use. Luckily we have a large enough lot that I still have a couple of empty areas remaining!
Emily’s sweet baby girl’s newborn session will be coming to the blog soon too! Want more information on our maternity sessions? More information is available on our website here.
